Regents Park
Although Elstree was only twenty miles from the centre of London, Meadows felt he needed a central London base. In a world where time is money, his belief was that in order to provide the ultimate learning experience, one had to ‘take golf to the people’, not expect them to waste time travelling. In 1987, Meadows was chosen by the Crown Estate from over sixty applicants to become the lessee of a run down golf school in the prestigious Regents Park.

Within three years The Regents Park Golf & Tennis School was to become London’s golfing heart with Meadows taking centre stage. His teaching reputation combined with superb facilities and the very best location quickly promoted the School to No.1 in the United Kingdom. Meadows golfing celebrity status attracted customers from all over Europe keen to experience a little ‘Meadows Magic’.

Metro Golf
This cutting edge approach led to approaches from land owners and local authorities keen to exploit this combination of business and sporting acumen. It was whilst working as a golf business consultant for the London Borough of Barnet that he discovered his next venture. In 1996 work begun on a new project six miles from London's West End to build what would soon become 'the place to learn' in London. Combining 48 driving bays, a breathtaking academy, 9 hole course
and restaurant it provided something for everybody. Intergration had always been key to the success of Meadows facility but until now it hadn't been possible to combine every aspect of a golf centre. With a software team working around the clock the new Metro Golf incorporated software that would allow members to use any part of the centre without the need for cash as well as allowing management to oversee the complete operation remotely.

Playgolf PLC
Meadows continued to work on the development of other sites around London until eventually in 2004 he joined forces with Playgolf Ltd. The company became AIM listed in 2005 and this was to see the roll out of centres throughout the UK . Meadows role as a board director, brought to the fore his skills as both developer and operator.

Playgolf PLC now has centres in London , Manchester and Glasgow and is widely viewed as the most dynamic golfing operator in the UK .
